Those aren't ballistic M-Frames. High Performance M-Frames were never released, and I haven't heard anything about plans for them to be released.
Ballistic M-Frames don't look much different from normal M-Frames, except the lens is a bit thicker and there is a clip above the nospad to keep the lens in place in case it gets loose.
The NEW M-Frame, or what I can assume is a new M from what I've heard, will be in 2007. It was never said it will be the one Lance was wearing though and of course it may not even be an M Frame, but it sure sounds like it may be.
That reminds me, I caught wind at a large local OPD of (and please take this with a grain of salt) an Eyeshade type frame returning. Something with a big single lens thats interchangable, but has a top and bottom. This may or may not be the M-Frame type pair already listed for release. Has anyone else heard somethng remotely close to this, or is this guy blowin smoke up my behind?
The new sport specific models are called Radar and Flak Jacket, both will be making their debut this weekend at the Kona Ironman. Also, look out for Thump Pro. (There will be a ton of the ironman competitors wearing it)
here is the Flak Jacket XLJ (pretty sure) on Faris Al Sultan, one of Oakley's top triathletes. It looks very much like Rudy Project or Kaenon. Not a fan of the style.
