I was able to score quite a few AP Vests from the local Vault. I have two issues: Why can't I find the AP Vest in the catalog? Also, these seem to have a different configuration than all the pictures I can find, and it's not because they're missing pockets or anything. Are there different version of the Vest?

Yes, there are at least two different iterations of the Men's AP Vest. More info on the differences here:

There's also the Women's versions, but I've never compared new vs. old versions.

"Quite a few" were one for me, one for my wife, one for wundrdog1 and one for heglock. There were four more,I can get them if anyone would like me to snag them. There might be a large, there are definitely mediums, and a couple extra smalls. Send me a message if you're interested. They are Second Gen ones, by the way...

I don't think they ever made the men's version in small and medium. I was under the impression they only made them in L and XL. Could the SM and Med versions be the women's?

I know the Vault in Gurnee had a bunch of womens.

Are these ones with the sides that taper inward, or are they square?

The M and L are the exact same style. They were also in the men's section at the vault.
