Since we're a brotherhood (sometimes a sisterhood) of O lovers, I thought it only fitting to have a thread thanking those that truly exemplify that which makes the O-Review so great.

Two weeks ago, my wife lost her Jazz Abandons. While she has a few pair, this was the newest thing, and she was in tears. Thanks to David Chang, they've been replaced. He went out of his way to look for them at the Vault, buy them, and ship them out to me. This is the SECOND time he's done this.

So thanks Dave. Someday I hope to return the favor.

Who else has gone above and beyond in the name of the O?

george, he has helped me out, with some o icons for the riddle, since this pair came with out them.. no charge not even for postage.

O-AFX is his name.

Josh, in hooking me up with the flores, Francios with hooking me up with the suede jacket, brent for so many things, Dann and nik in which sometimes i spent hours talking to.. Justin.. in which wanted to help me when i was scammed big time for a single tower.. and the other that helped out.. And many more who i have had the pleasure to deal with.. and the new ones too...

Josh has helped me out too many times to count. My collection would not be nearly what it is today without his help.

Brent has hooked me up as well.

David Chang for helping me score my first tower and always keeping me in mind when he sees things he knows im looking for.

Too many to list...honestly. I am honored to have personally met up with many of those I would characterize as "model" members. I will make it over to Helmond one of these days to shake hands with Fred.

Wow, where do I start off with this one? There are so many quality members over the years that have helped shape the O-Review into what it is. They exemplify the O-R core values of community and knowledge sharing.

Stories of members going over and above to help other members achieve their collections are legendary. There are some that give pairs away or sell at a loss just to help other members with what they need, fostering a culture that focuses on helping rather than profiting off one another. For that kinda community spirit, everyone should be honored.

The O-Review now and forever has the reputation of being the premier resource for collectors. The reason it got there is due to the knowledge of its members and the willingness to share this knowledge. The time and hard work that many have put into the forum and the database is admirable. Without this effort, the O-R wouldn't be where it is today.

That said, a model member to me is one that not only generously helps other members, but it is one that also contributes to the development of the site. Even though I'll have likely forgotten several people, members such as the following are model members:

Dann, Eric, Alex, Rick, Phil, OB, Paul McJ, Nik, Lee, Wilson, Defender, Mike B, Mike Y, Dan B, Francios, Eddy, Jose, Robert, Jason, Yukio, Dawn, Cal, Jamey, Adam, Fred, Brian J, Paul S, EC, Edwin, Bryan, Ford, HED, Lex, Travis, Tim, Todd K., Bill, and John "jbigelow".

What can I say. Most of you I have yet to meet. All of you have helped me in some way or another, wether its from aquisitions, influence, or just casual conversation at an airport (Dann & Phil). Here I feel accepted and understood and for that You are all models in my book. I hope that some day I can return they favor to either anyone existing or any new fanatics that join.

I gotta say, Racer(Mike) is one stand-up guy. I bought some display stands from him a while back after he hit the mother-load a while back and he sold them to me for probably half of what he could have on eBay. He even tossed in an extra one free.

On top of that, I pick up my mail yesterday and there's an unexpected package in there...he sent me two more for free. Seriously? I couldn't have been happier. Thanks so much Mike, you make this place great.

alright...My turn HAHA!!

So first, you have to really dig deep and define "Model O-Review Member"...What makes a model member? Is it that he/she has done a good deal for you when they didn't have to? Did the member help you track down something you had been looking for? Did this person talk to you when you had a question that he/she thought was stupid and treated you with respect in the response?? Or did this person just brag about what they have or have the biggest.....no, not that...Collection crazies...

I tend to think it's all of those, well, except the last one. We'll touch on that later, I promise.

For me, there have been soooooooo many members pass through the hallowed pages here and so many of them have been one or more pieces of the above. So, to list them to the best of my knowledge, and forgive me if I miss someone, here goes:

Dann first and foremost. He's the reason we are all here and he has been awesome to meet at the co-pilot event, and talk with over the last few years...Phil, Mike (warwagon), Rick, Tick, Oluvr, Jbigs, Bruin, Racer, Jumpman, Ollie18, Purebred, Dahren (yellow), Dave Chang, Dave (Pennymad0, George (o-afx), Bong, Bill (zev), Brent (Bhaley), Dustin (tarponfly), Toxic (xyz optic), Ian, Rey (shoxpro), Wunderdog, Francois (big cob), Lee, Travis, Jannard, The Whores (can't even think of leaving them out), Woody (ideal oakley), Nik, Nick (airborne), Oakdays, Raider, Rich, Dan (yelkao), Tony (tonylam), Don (big boy), Brennan, Sean (coolchillin), Cachorro, Paul (cycling-pablo), Steve (drcrip), Hans, Jason (longshot), Luke, Mark (oakleyz), Kurt (rangerk), Nikolas (propwash), Bob (rhlake), Dan (southside), Spencer (shavepimp), Sasha (tag), The Real Deal, The Mando, Defender, Trevor, Matt, Derron (wunderdog), Paul (oogie), and I know there are many others, but I just can't remember them all, although I have done a great job I think (pat's himself on the back lol)...

Why do I have such a long list?? Well simple, there are tons of awesome members here...Some current, some not...Bottom line, it's all about how people treat one another. Some of them have had the largest collections I have known and don't brag about it. They are humble in their collecting. Quick to help another member reach his or her goal without expecting anything in return. That is a model member. To quote myself (haha) remember, "the toes you step on today may be attached to the foot kicking your a$$ tomorrow". Don't be a hotshot, don't burn other members, and don't use people here. You too will be a model member.
