Today I dug out my polished black/black Iridum TwoFace glasses to wear. I've worn them about 5 times since I had them not long after release.
I gave them a quick polish up, and upon breathing on the lenses I noticed a crosshatched pattern on the inside of both lenses. This crosshatched area sits within a circle that you can also make out on both lenses right in the centre. The pattern area is larger on the right and you can actually feel it when you run your fingernail over it. You can only see these when you steam up the lens with your breath and they don't affect vision at all.
I've never seen anything like this before, have you? What would cause it?

That's the first time I've seen that pattern in the centre of the lens.
Just a guess, but...
Are these polarized lenses?
If so, I'd assume defective lenses; the positioning of the polarizing filter shouldn't allow you to see or feel it.
Bummer anyhoo.

No, they're just standard black iridium

I'd have to guess that when they were buffing the lenses down, that one didn't pass Quality Control. Sometimes they slip through.

I can't account for the crosshatch pattern and why you can feel the texture when you run your fingers over it, but Oakley has had various issues with coatings peeling and bubbling:

The peeling and bubbling is something that I have with two pairs as well. They are my Paintiffs with Warm Grey lenses and a Felon with Dark Grey lenses.

Something which is a real shame and shouldn't be possible to happen. On Oakleyforum there are also some reports of this problem. So it happens more often unfortunately... Luckily I still have a spare set of Felon lenses, but for the Plaintiff it is a completely other story, I can't seem to locate some new pairs...

So this happened by itself...

Image and video hosting by TinyPicNot sure if the frame was screwed too tight but I bought this pair a while back is almost brand new condition and no signs of stress cracks ever.

Has anyone else experienced this happen to their mag m frame lens?

I guess regular m frame lens will not fir the mag m because of the 2 little grooves near the center =(

So here's an odd one after fogging up the lens. It has this on both lenses but on the right lens it's a little crooked. /shrugs
