Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about these?

Allegedly were unreleased.

Came with their own Deuce Coupe MF bag (which holds an extra pair of lenses) which is why I think that they may be genuine. The other versions of the Deuce Coupe didn't have the extra stitched pocket for 2 extra lenses like the jawbone/RJ MF bags (as far as I know).

Also, I can't tell if the yellow sulphur colour is the same as "lemon peel" jawbone here, or different (because I own neither pair)... http://o-review.com/database_detail_colorway.php?ID=6245&table_name=glasses

The microfibre bag with the pocket does make a good argument for it being a previously intended part of Duece Coupe, but nothing on the pair readily says it could be part of the line. No patterns, nothing special. I can't really say for sure in pics, but it seems the yellow is a shade darker than you would find on Lemon Peel.

What really tickles the brain is the JB was on its way out to becoming the 2012 RJ by the time the DC lineup was released (the releases of the DC and 2012 RJ was just a month or two apart), so why make a JB rather than a New RJ if they knew it was to be replaced soon?. Maybe that's why they didn't release it if it was indeed gonna be part of the line.

Oak! Thanks for that. Very helpful!!

If I'm not mistaken, the JB was renamed anyhow due to copyright issues. Not sure why they didn't proceed.

The really interesting takeaway is Oakley intended a JB for the Deuce Coupe line. JBs in various lines were pretty bland back then (like the Max Fearlight JB), but the more the merrier.

I always get confused with which models came with JB and which came with the RJs, but I think some of them are pretty cool, like the Juan Pelota, Rapha, 30th Anniversary, atmos, B1B etc.

You're right, there are some really good ones. Echelon, BMX, Atmos, etc.

Here's one with a slight variation in colour with the jaws.

That shade of yellow looks much more consistent with the DC lineup.

Damn I wish they did do some in the DC style, infact any crystal frame on the JB/RJ would have been awesome! still one of my all time faves!

Good point, a crystal yellow/sulphur frame on the JB similar to the DC Frog or Holbrook would have been awesome.

Jason, I think they only released one crystal frame in the JB. And the MI one I thought was a clear split jacket, because it had the wind jacket part.

Yes, the M:I pair is a Split Jacket/Wind Jacket (it had the jaw of a SpJ and didn't have have the ridges on the upper orbital and earstem that you normally would find on a JB).

That said there are authentic crystal clear JBs out there in the wild. Dr. Chop had one of the sale here several years back for $700, I think (along with a painted OTT that was said to have come from HQ).
