In my opinion, it's not only expensive, but much of it is rather ugly as well. They're just pricing themselves out of the market.

So maybe it is a sport frame and not sport-lifestyle? Then again it says "crossover" - so maybe not?

I’m sure someone bought 2 or 3. The frustration and confusion is real. HA HA I laugh but it’s true.

I’ve been loyal and going with the flow ever since Jim sold the brand. Sure as you all know I’ve voiced opinions of mine, frustrations, confusion, theories, etc. But it’s gotten to the point for me that this loyalty now is perhaps misplaced. When a brand does things that in a sense removes you from participating at the level that you once did and want to because of price, quantity and availability, you’ve got to think “why am I doing this (still)?”

I wasn't planning to get it, mainly for cost reasons, so I'm not too burnt. I do find it interesting that they invested in a rendered promo video for it. Maybe there will be another release down the line.

I too was loyal... Oakley still accounts for a majority of my sunglasses, but I have added a few Ray-Bans, Maui Jim's, and most recently, M-Experiment. I felt like I was cheating on the brand, but have since enjoyed the new styles and optics of the other brands. I like the look, feel and quality of the Maui Jim's over Oakley's lifestyle offerings and the Megawatt seems superior to the Sutro for mountain biking. Best of all, when an offering like the Infiniloop or Beretta glasses are released, I have a near-zero internal struggle of whether to make a irrational purchase or not. No more FOMO.
Just my perspective.

I broke that around the time of the Artist Series. I had the initial few, so why not get them all? Then it turned into the painted frames and deluxe signature pairs. Miss one, and I'm stressing out and spending all sorts of money. Eventually you fail to get one, and the perfect streak is over. Then life can resume.

The Japanese yen is currently very weak in value, making things very expensive, so goods are sitting unsold. I’ve even lost interest in it entirely.
