Monday, November 7, 2022 — The Oakley Factory Team is a long-standing experimental collaboration conceptualized by Brain Dead, powered by Oakley. Our newest capsule collection digs into the Oakley Archive to reimagine some of our cult favorites. Somewhere between our desire to predict the future and our need to preserve the present, Oakley x Brain Dead Flesh and Chop Saw were born.

In the early 2000s, Oakley’s Flesh design emerged from the black void of fashion and ushered a glimpse of the future. Sleek, comfortable, and amorphous in shape, the release was a catalyst for decades of inspiration. Chop Saw followed soon after, its eye-catching sole and high functionality helped support a sturdy shoe with a sharp personality. Each design helped spark the imagination and expanded what form and function could accomplish together. The collab Chopsaw and the Ostrich Flesh look cool. The regular Oakley.com releases are cool as well. Seems like too much of a hassle to get shoes.

I'm glad the Black Ostrich Flesh is available on Oakley.com rather than having to go through the silliness that is the Brain Dead raffle. That's probably the most interesting colourway out of the bunch.

I don't think they have officially been released. When they first popped up I called my local flagship and they said they were not supposed to be out in the wild yet.

What I've seen is that there are a few stores (maybe down in the FLorida area ;) ) that seem to sell stuff before the release dates. Same thing happened on the MUZM Mumbo set. The store sold their pairs pre release and an unboxing video was made and posted where the guy who bought them thanked the store manager by name...

They had a raffle for those. You signed up for a size and at the end of the raffle they randomly picked names and charged their cards.

Not a fan of that option. Did you sign up for the raffle on Braindeads website or somewhere else?
