Well Rick is not dead and he's only temporary gone, hope he will change his mind.

Full of rage right now over what happened, so will keep it positive. Will try.

Rick is much more then someone that has all the Juliets, almost all the x-metals, he's a great member, a funny guy, who was always willing to help others, taking the train for 2 hours to get you a pair of sunglasses, he did not make much (if any) profit at all.

All in the spirit of the o-review, since its like a brotherhood.

Rick is also a very funny guy, a friend, someone wholooks out for others and this site.

So I dont say goodbye to you Rick, I say later, until you come back with us, where you belong.

Insider info, eh? Just know that he has bowed out for reasons his own. And, reasons that are actually shared in part by a few other members as the forum has grown and mixed so many different personalities. We do our best and at times it's not good enough. Eventually something has to give.

You'll be missed. Until your return...

Cheers, mate.

OK yeah RIP Rick, and I will truely miss the guy.

But what I wanna say is WAKE UP PEOPLE ! Nothing like this would've happened if some people (who've already got the boot) would smarten up and be a lil' more mature now. I'm not a mod. I choose to keep my personal opinions towards them to myself. And if I have a certain problem with the way they run this place, I (would) contact them personally via PM to settle things up.

O-Review is a great website. An amazing website. But guess what ? IT'S A WEBSITE. A FOOKING WEBSITE ! I don't care if you spend 10 minutes or 5 hours per day in here. It's a WEBSITE. So if you have some personal rage and/or craziness to let out, do it somewhere else ! This is a place that was originally set up for people to enjoy, share, learn and talk about their passion for this great company that goes by the name of OAKLEY.

Sure there has to be issues, differences, problems, disagreements, and such...but bottom line is : it's a WEBSITE. I love Oakley. I work for Oakley. I live and breath by this brand. I wear it and talk about it everyday. I'm one of the biggest freaks in here. But for the love of God, it's A WEBSITE !!!

The departure of Rick should teach us all a lesson : no matter how much you care about something, no matter how passionate you can be about a product and/or a brand, it should never bring you to a point where you have to be so unpleasant to the point that you make people hate you so much.

Hell, I couldn't care less if some people in here hated me. I'm here to share my passion and to learn from you guys. And I'm sure I can help a lot of people in here, that's why I log in almost everyday, probably 3 times a day. To share the passion. Sure there are people I don't like as much as I like others. But it's like at your job, or in a school group project : sometimes, even if you don't like some people, you still have to work with them to achieve a common goal. Well here, the common goal is to simply learn and enjoy everything about Oakley. So if X pisses you off, so be it. Tough luck. Live with it. Won't stop you from loving Oakley, will it ? And will bashing on him/her make you love Oakley more ? Hell no !!!

I do not wish to quit this place. I love this place. I saw it grow like a child. Eventhough it has turned into a place where personal vendettas are common business, I will not quit. Because I remember the true goal of Dann Thombs when he initially started this project. And his idea will always remain the same. Share the passion, share the passion...

So next time you have to make an attack against someone, remember this : eventhough he/she might be an a$$, it doesn't matter : disagree, bring up your arguments, but DON'T ever fooking attack someone like that. This is just silly and immature. Go do that somewhere else.

Rick figured he had too much things on his agenda to deal with such things. So be it. Because Rick used to log in on the O-Review to share his passion. To learn. To enjoy. To help out other members. And he sure as hell did, more than he had to. But now he's done with this. And I respect his decision. I miss him so much already, and I never even met the guy ! I will truely miss him.

But one thing's for sure : I will sure as hell remember the lesson I learned from this : be it Oakley, N***, Cha****, or Fe*****...if it turns into personal attacks and if it makes you mad when you're at work, school, or in bed : IT'S NOT WORTH IT !

Rick didn't stop loving Oakley. He never will. But he figured he had it with having to put up with useless sh** coming his way when all he really wanted, bottom line, was to have fun and share his love for the O. Period.

Hate me if you want, but that would be a serious misunderstanding of what I'm trying to say here.

That's my 1242 cents.

In no way should this thread be taken advantage of!! I meant to celebrate Rick as an individual who donated his time and efforts to help us all, even the scum scalpers until they were weeded out or figured out. He deserves the UTMOST respect from all of us regardless of any opinion developed. Rick is extremely knowledgable in the X Metal area, and was an all around great guy to chat with. I hope we can all stay adults here in this and discuss differences as adults! One day, I hope Rick decides to come back, but if he doesn't, that is his perogative as a man and we should all respect him. Please mods, if there is one word of bashing or disrespect towards Rick or ANY member, please lock this as that is not the intent of any thread I start or participate in. This is a respectable place for men, women, teens, and so on to communicate, build friendships, help each other, and to converse about a great product and company, let's all make sure we do OUR part and keep it that way.

For just a single thread, much have been said and before we know it harm was already done and cannot be undone. Then we just see Rick and others already gone. Rick is one of those many here who have contributed much to this site. For me, he is an icon himself. Now his act have reminded us not to get stray from the single thing that brought us all together here, our passion for oakleys. Maybe we have wandered off a bit, but now we, by ourselves, are wary about it. Thanks to Rick. And Rick, that act is worthy of a sensei. Sayonara Rick!

The Doc is pure class. He didn't need to go and it was a bit of an overreaction to something I felt was fairly tame by most standards. Justin got Greyskulled and that's the end of it. If you read this Rick, reconsider won't ya?

This is just silly guys. These volatile off topics are bound to ruffle some feathers.
It has nothing to do with classiness, or contribution.
We need to lean less on the moderators for guidance and conduct, and more on ourselves as individuals.

No offense to anyone in particular, but if you allow someone else's opinion to drive you away from all the good things in life, then you will miss out on alot.
It just seems juvenile to buy into personal attacks.

The offending parties have been removed, now just focus on the reason we have united together in the first place...Oakley products, remember?

peace, please.
