and sure enough the images folder is gone. Everything. I managed to find a copy of the stylesheets that I had sent someone, but it was old, so I had to rebuild it a bit. Working on putting the catalogue images back up, but I'm not sure how current those are. I may need some help grabbing images off oakley.com at some point. Might be a large project, so if people could pitch in, that would be appreciated.
As for uploaded content, there's no hope for any of that to come back. I'm sure this is an excercise in my bad practice of not having backups, but I didn't think, nor have the time to get everything in a separate location.
I think I have most catalogue images from abotu December or so. At least from the site move. Shouldn't be as bad, but I need to rebuild the Collectors Spotlight now.
Also I removed the Forum image upload. Gallery and Collection are still up, but the forum folder was just huge. I'm using this situation to finally get a handle on that.
Well, I think that it would be better that each member use something like Picasa, Flickr, photobucket or any image hosting website, to link images in the forum
Its really simple to do and will avoid that kind of "surprise"
I am fucking pissed about this kind of shit happenning again ! It has been a nightmare for Dann lately in dealing with that stupid shit on top of everything else.
I've added some markers in the model listing pages. If an image is referenced in the database but isn't on the server, a 'missing' string will appear in place of the image. Click on that and it will give you the name of the image. If you want to start grabbing images off oakley.com and places, please use that name as it will save me time.
Please e-mail things to dann@o-review.com and I'll get them up. Thanks.
maaaaaaaan !!! this is horrible, i've been away for a couple of days , didn't check the site, and now this ....
it will be a b*tch getting all the glasses back....
wow, i'm speechless , can't you sue them for breaking in or something ? is anybody a lawyer here ?
The Whore's have been gracious enough to stay up until 2AM recapturing almost 300 missing images. We should be back up and running soon. Catalogue-wise anyway.
