shame the grip on the D300S doesn't fit the D800...

Oh geez, I'm so far behind. Vol3 in 2010 never happened, so I should really do a catchup book this year and gather the best of the seasons since then. Arachtober is upon us, so I always bank up some extra spider shots then.

I'm soooo jealous right now !
The grip will certainly be a nice addition.

The D600 is very attractive but that persistent dust problem is just killing any purchase envy.

yeah there's a rumour that a D610 is coming...perhaps to fix the issue with the dust.

Thanks mate, picked it up from CE today, was going to get a grip as well but they were out of stock...yeah this thing is not shy on megapixels...I can hear the memory card screaming after each shot...a new hard drive perhaps...

Congrats Andy. If all bodies used the same grip, I'd probably have one, but it's hard to spend that much for something that will likely need replaced when you upgrade.

Thanks Bob, I guess I'm just used to having a grip but the one for the D800 is $400+...

Well it has been a while on 2 fronts, bought a new pair of Radarlocks this past week, 2 pair of glasses in last 3 yrs.

But the big glass purchase was today with a new lens..... the Nikon 14-24mm f2.8

Possibly one of the sharpest lenses to grace out lovely earth. There is some beautiful glass on this indeed.

Very nice. Makes me want to dive into a true wide angle, but I must continue saving for my next telephoto. Look forward to seeing some sample shots.

This was another recent addition - Nikon 1 - AW1 Waterproof and Shock Proof Camera.-- yes you read that right! and it truly is!

It uses the CX format sensor and has a 2.7 Crop factor. Takes Beautiful images and Video, once the RAW convertor is available for Aperture I'll be able to process some images.
Another nice thing is all my FX lenses will fit and work with a small adaptor.
