RIP to the drummer from Avenged Sevenfold. The year's not over yet...

James Owen Sullivan aka "The Rev" a drummer and backup vocalist for the Southern California band Avenged Sevenfold, has been found dead at his home in Southern California.

Lt. John Domingo says the 28-year-old Sullivan, who went by the stage name The Rev, appears to have died of natural causes on Monday in Huntington Beach.

The Orange County coroner's office is investigating the death.

bacterial meningitis maybe?

Back in 1997/98 Had a buddy who had a headache, told his parents he was taking a nap and went to sleep. Never woke up. Parents let him sleep through dinner and woke him the next morning. He had died overnight. He was 26.

Who knows man. Life is fragile and fleeting. Best to live it as though each day would be what you were judged on for all eternity. (case in point- my buddy had over 1000 people attend his funeral- standing room only).

Sportscaster George Michael died 12-24-09
http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2009/12/24/2009-12-24_sportscaster_george_michael_.html

I didn't grow up with cable and I had no idea what Sports Center. was I knew about ESPN, but had never really watched it.

When I got to college, I was introduced to this wonderful "Sports Machine" show that was, in a word, AWESOME. It got me hooked on "sports TV". It became a Sunday night ritual my four years in college. Almost every TV in my dorm was tuned to it. Sad to see him go.

"The Discovery Channel says the captain of the "Deadliest Catch" fishing vessel Cornelia Marie has died.

Capt. Phil Harris suffered what his family described as a massive stroke on Jan. 29 while the boat was in port at St. Paul Island, Alaska."

I got to meet Phil Harris around two years ago at the PA motorcycle show where I was working as a vendor and he as one of the "talent" invited to the show. We spent 20 minutes talking about Triumph motorcycles and other stuff that I'm sure he found terribly uninteresting but he remained very nice through it all. A genuine person.

Oh Hell no!! He was a cool personality on the show...That sux man. I thought it would have been a heart attack with how much smoking the guy did, but a stroke...Damn. Seems like the lifespan of those guys isn't all that long considering. Too bad.

OH.. no way. Charlie Wilson of Charlie Wilson's War???

Wow. His "War" helped cripple the Soviet "economic" machine. His "War" was one of the case studies I had to present on in my International Relations class in college.

what a shame! he was in so many movies in the 80's and early 90's. Real sad how the young in hollywood continue to pass because of drugs and stuff that could be prevented.
