Capitalism is all about survival of the fittest. And GM is in the situation they're in because of what they've done - or failed to do. Really, they have no one to blame but themselves.

That thread is turning bad ...

You know, the boss of my company have made bad choices in the past months/years. Consequence of that if that 9 employees out of 50 have been fired for economical reason this week.
Let me know that if someone comes to me to say "I hope your company will close his doors due to your boss bad choices", this person will be in a very bad position for the next minutres.
When a company is down, this is never the people who make bad choices that are suffering the most. My company is only 50 people large, but there are 50 families behind that. I don't know how large is GM, but I assume there are thousands of families depending of the company.

Just think about that Mr Terro.

Being laid off sucks. I would not wish that on anyone.

A Cannonball Run sounds like fun. I`ve never been into that kinda stuff, but an Oakley version sounds really cool. Sounds really expensive as well. Forget the gas and hotel money; imagine going to all those vaults and OPDs!
