Thats one thing I don't get about Undercover Boss. In all three episodes, the CEO of each company is wearing a high-end pair of Rx glasses. Mostly anyone can tell when a lot of money is spent on glasses, regardless of whether they are 'designer' or not.

I didn't catch it last night, as I was watching the hockey game.

All of the eyewear in Hurt Locker is Oakley and ESS (ESS is an Oakley subsidiary).

What??? Seriously?

Not sure where this should go but there is a nice feature in this months Cigar Aficionado on the Oakley Elite line. Pretty cool.

You mean me? If so yes. =) Oakley purchased ESS not to long before the Lux merger. (not sure on the exact timing.)

Thinking about "Hot Tub Time Machine" today... Everyone should be on the lookout for vintage O. Going back to the 80's, they could pull out some cool stuff.

Apparently there's more Oakley in The A-Team than initially thought:

Either the Factory Pilot glove or the SI Assault Glove played a pretty big part in and was shown a lot in the new movie Losers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_K6y8ihyi8

I don't think its been said yet, but on the TV show, American Pickers, Mike Wolfe (skinny guy) wears black Hijinx when they are in the van driving cross country and are having general discussions. I've been watching the show for about a month now, and last night I got a good glimpse of the icon, as its very hard to tell since he only wears them in the van and not when they are randomly walking up to someone's property with the flyer in hand. They my even be Antix, but either way the overall shape of the frame is pretty cool looking on TV.

Anyone know with certainty which model of Oakley "Inmate" sunglasses Denzel Washington is wearing in Book of Eli? My guess is gold frames and dark gray lens combo but it's hard to tell from the film being so desaturated in color.

Someone in this thread said they were polished gold frames that were sanded down.

^Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah, I read that before but thought I'd ask again and see if there's an official answer. Today i received my Inmates in chrome/VR28 BI...super nice but look nothing like the one's in the movie.

Yeah the ones in the movie look to be the light/blk polar pair that has been completely beat to crap and sanded on, I don't think it would be the gold frames so my guess is the lights. Great movie by the way an little miss Kunis rocks a womens AP vest at the end too!

You might just be right on the frame colour. Here's one of the pairs used in the movie:

^ In the pair(s) used in the movie the lenses are very dark and not mirrored, so they must be either warm gray or dark gray, right? Isn't black iridium pol mirrored?

Gold and black frames are the only one's that have the darkest lenses, so unless they were custom for the movie they might be the gold sanded down?

it didn't have to be a stock color combo, it could be a grey lens but I would have to say the frame started as light, you would still see some gold somewhere on it if it where the gold frame. Either way, very cool that is played a dominant roll in the movie, too bad the o was almost all the way removed though. You see the logo on his backpack early and often though.

Speaking of the Blu-Ray, I love this angle of the Inmates on the box art:
