Hi, once again I find myself correcting that jerk Joythan, from Ebay about yet more Bullsh1t. check this out:GEN. 1 X MEN FRAME IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, ONLY USE FOR DISPLAY, ALL RUBBERS BRAND NEW. FRAME COLOR IS PLASMA. THIS FRAME IS SPECIALLY RELEASED FOR X MEN MOVIE AND HAVE VERY LOW X MEN SERIAL NUMBER XP000486 MATCHED BOX SERIAL NUMBER for AUTHENTICITY

my response pointing out the error of his ways.....

Dear joyythan,

Why are you lying again? You 'pride' yourself on
having a Power Seller 'badge', that doesn't mean
abuse it and the customers you sell to! XX was
NEVER used in X-Men nor did Marvel use them in an
X-Men franchise!

his response back: Dear funky-trixtar,

Don't bid on my listing!

too which I replied:Dear joyythan,

I'm so sorry......I so wanted to bid for the crap
you sell!
please,please,please,please,please,please,please,p
lease,please......hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Seems almost as if you read my mind on that one: just about the exact same thing I was thinking.

That's all well and good if they're not doing something which is constantly BS like Jerkthen. He's conning people, it's fraud he's committing. I've contact Ebay numerous times on this problem. With nothing other than the same response: we're looking into it!

if i remember correctly several other members have tried to take down differant ebay scammers in the past and have gotten similar reactions from ebay. Im not sure how they made out but certain ones of these sellers are still around today playing the same old games. As stated before i think that all we can do is encourage ppl we know not to buy from these guys and never support them with a purchase ourselves. If nobody buys from them they wont be around much longer. It drives me crazy too when i see those false claims and even more when you see a guy who tore apart a rare pair of glasses to make a "limited edition one of a kind custom" to sell for 3 times its value.

Yeah. For those guys those- the scalpers- the reporting function in e-bay now (or always has) allowed you to report pricing abuses. If that's a new feature, I wonder how effective it would be? For them to have that feature, they obviously recognize it as a problem.

It is ebay's interest, that an item is sold at the highest value possible. Ebay and paypal fees are calculated as a percentage from the price of the item.
The buyers should realize that $60 is way too much for some fake white Juliet unobtainium kit (Item number:350298540623 from our favorite seller).

bottom line to this: Ebay does nothing! Literally nothing. I have reported shill bidding, excessive shipping, etc. Not 1 single event has led to anything happening to the seller. Nothing. Lot's of fun, welcome to the money machine known as ebay.

On a side note so everyone knows, there is a way to transfer funds/make purchases (not really purchases but still) without fees. Check out the personal payment tab in the send money screen. Read up on it on paypal as certain restrictions apply, but trust it is much better for the most part.

Winning prices for the scalpers/shill bidders/rip off artists seem to be decreasing for the most part. I think us bring attention to them ripping off collectors is paying off overall (assuming of course it's not simply because buyers get tired of them by themselves). There will always be new ones that profit initially, but that'll die off after a while once we get the word out on them.

Put in a 'not as described' complaint directly to ebay and cite exactly what is wrong with the product post. If the shipping charges seem high as well (to circumvent the ebay fees), make a complaint about that too. Ebay usually will look into and it will require the seller to edit his posting, which will be a nuisance to him.

Some times I fish around on ebay for things to complain about when I'm in a bad mood.

After seeing what Josh went thru with douchebag, I gave up...there is NOTHING ebay will do!

That one case was hands down, fraud!! What did ebay do?? Not a damn thing.

Remember when amerdouchestain created a fake bar code and label to place on a "rare" oakley brown box for the copper penny????

LMFAO!!

they are making thousands in BS fees on these prix hustling BS. Like the clown with the 3d frogskins...He asked me to cut him 2 ice lenses for the same side from 1 m frame lens. They aren't rare what he has, they are fake! that douche is the same as vintageoakleys247/oakleyoakley247/amerimusclemustang or what ever the fook he is flaunting himself around as these days! Bmcaps/Ldcaps also on the list, and several more. Take your pic. You buy anything from them you may as well be buying from a counterfeiter too! You would be doing them a favor and a serious dis-justice to your collector community.

Oh, and I would like to add. eBay is not going to do a thing. We have all reported them and nothing has happened. Heck, I have even called them to complain. But the fact of the matter is that they are making a killing off those guys. Those listing are not cheap. Why would eBay want to give up a cash cow like them. Your only option? Don't buy from them. PERIOD!!!

I beg to differ with anyone that says ebay or Oakley don't do a thing when you complain. I have proof that Ebay and Oakley have pursued some offender.

I've seen a bunch of auctions pulled after I've complained.

I've also had the pleasure of dealing with someone in the legal dept at Corporate. Long story short, I got taken on a Vertical Computer bag and after going back and forth with e-mail re: refunds and returns, corporate got involved and asked me to send the bag to the company.

Reporting DOES make a difference. You may not see it but it can be effective.

So for those of us who continue to choose to be vigilant, let us do so.

If you wish to be resigned to idea that nothing happens, then feel free. As has been said before, we don't have to buy from these jokers. I just choose to take it another step and do what i can to "Defend" the brand.

If you ask a question of the seller, does that get posted on the page regardless of whether they answer or not? I'm not sure. If so, that could be a place to describe the inaccuracy for other people to see...

Nope. When you ask a seller a question, it is just an option the seller has to select if the want the Q/A to show on the auction page.

I am glad you got some action. But it's sounds like it was with auctions that are fakes or something like that. I have been complaining about WW in FLA for months. And still he is selling, plus he just tryed to ripe me off and I had to file a dispute with Paypal and eBay. He is still selling. Nothing has changed.

fakes are one thing. They will yank them, but scalpers who shill bid...They don't do squat. That is where the difference lies and the line is drawn. Trust me, I have a couple contacts inside that will have no problems yanking things when they are counterfeit, but they won't intervene when it is a scalper like the above mentioned who are just raping people. There is a difference.

There will be NOTHING to happen with Wesley White (aka mustang/vintage.oakleyoakley/toddles/etc). or Bmcaps. They are selling legitimate stuff whether or not the actual stuff is accurate or rare as described, and they are paying fat fees. Ebay doesn't care. Shill bidding ad all. I reported 49 instances of shill bidding on the Amerimusclemustang/Toddles2009 accounts and had clear proof. Looks like it got us somewhere didn't it??? Exactly my point.

How about we put up a permanent thread detailing the names of the scum who sell on Ebay and their 'crime(s)' or the misguidance they intentionally give?
