There are some crazy talented prop makers out there. A couple years back, WETA held a competition where you had to customize this product:

The contestants:

The winners:

I pretty much like all of them, and they got the winner right, but this one's also a personal favourite:

I'm glad I wasn't one of the judges. Wasn't a bad one in the bunch.

Not quite sure I understand it as art, but to each their own:

Jeremy Geddes is an Australian painter that does photo-realistic work, and yet another painter that has a thing for pigeons. Very striking images, IMO. I especially like his Red Cosmonaut:

Yeah, some very cool pieces. Looked to see how much some of the stuff was going for, but then realized this must be one of those "if you have to ask how much it costs...."

For a mere $6k+, you could have a giant cat head. LMAO:

Chris Bathgate put together a small worry stone functional sculpture. See it in action in the video below. He's done a couple runs, I think, and one more coming up. $250 + shipping + 1.5% PP fee. Super awesome. It will be as habit-forming and annoying to others as pen clicking.

Oak, any idea what some of his other sculptures sell for? Most of them look downright amazing - and I'm guessing if a little metal nugget runs $250, I can only imagine what some of the medium or large designs could run.

Also, any pic of the reverse side worth sharing? It is intriguing ... something that could well reduce the # of meetings I get pulled into once I start habitually using such a thing at work.

I don't remember the price of the small pieces, but I am sure the average for his works would run for many thousands.
