Noticed a bunch of new sneakers available:

https://www.oakley.com/en-us/category/men/apparel/footwear/sneakers

Some of them look pretty nice, but I wonder how they feel/fit. Also, I still can't figure out how they decide which sizes to offer, as there are random gaps in the range.

@eddyc with nothing to do I've been looking at the site everyday. The large majority of the new shoes got launched about 2 weeks ago. The gaps in the size range is just how fast they've been selling out in that particular size.. ( my guess anyways ). I'm a size 9.5 and when I saw the shoes posted for the first time there were sizes available for me, but by end of day... poooof. Gone.

But there are a few shoes on there that aren't new and you're right, the sizing is all over the place for them. It's like they took a walk around the warehouse and found a pile of random shoe sizes that weren't inventoried and then re-populated the site. Either way, the new runners look sweet and I'm waiting for the EV Zero Pattern to come back in stock with the Sulphur colour in my size. Those went fast.

I really wanted the Outdoor Boots, but they never offered them in a Size 9.0. Tempted to try one of the new sneakers since they actually offer them in my size.

I have two pairs of the new sneakers, US12 and the fit is perfect for my feet. Not tight in width, comfy too.

One pair is the Dry sneaker in Dark Gray, the other is EV Zero Edge in gray.

I learned I didn’t realize and that is you can search the Oakley site with those sku numbers to see what is available. I was looking for a lense and thought it was out of production. But I put in the sku and it popped up. Really cool. I wish I had known that a long time ago.

Helps when calling Customer Service too. I've gotten a few things that weren't on the Website using them.

Where did you find the sku for lenses?

Go to tour sunglasses of choice, then you will see Colorway for the frames and usually another for the lenses. Click the lenses colorway and it will then show you all the choices of lenses. There will usually be a 5 or 6 digit number associated with the data entry for tvv BBC at lenses colorway. I was looking for a pair of Fire iridiums for my pair of Fuel Cell- the only pair I could find anywhere was Gabor in Hungary. The price a fair considering, but when you add shipping and the fact tgg HA st nothing is really shipping very fast... well I was resolved to wait until COVID WAS over before ordering the lenses from him. Then I xmfound that Sku and plugged it into the Oakley site and voila, there was a pair that was being discounted 30%. So it ended up being $51 with taxes and free shipping .

For your lens look under dB/replacements/subglassaname

Scroll till you find your sunglasses name, click it and then you see all the replacement lenses available with their sku numbers. If you already know the sku just plug it into the search window. So, really three ways to get you to that info depending on how you use the dB

unfortunately the bulk of lenses for older frames are just not available, so looking up anything but really new stuff isn’t that useful. The more useful thing is probably figuring out a suitable donor lens for a custom cut.

I see the main advantage of this lookup tool for frames on the edge of being taken out of production because at least you can still cross reference the SKU’s against the Oakley.com site to see if they still carry the lense so you don’t have to pay the inflated secondary market prices, and you can possibly really stock up on replacement lenses if you have fallen in love with a particular frame.

Also looks like you get a backpack with a purchase over $160 during their Memorial Day Sale. Just noticed that today and I visit the site practically daily. Only around 17 hours left to take advantage of this offer though at the time of me writing this.

It's a pretty good deal to get a backpack with a $160 order. I haven't had much luck during this pandemic with ordering from Oakley; my orders from 6-8 weeks ago are still sitting at "in progress" and the items are probably sold out by now. Then again, I've never had much luck with ordering from Oakley online anyway, pandemic or not.

You will have to call Oakley. If it is stuck in process it will not get out on it's own someone from Oakley will have to intervene. I would call them they may offer you 20 ,25,30 percent off for the trouble, I would insist on the highest amount.

I did call telesales to see what's up. Waited in line for 20 minutes, too. Basically they told me:

1) They are backed up and don't know if/when the distribution centre can fulfill the order
2) They can't cancel the order via telesales and the only thing I can do is wait until it ships and then return the order, which I thought is baffling for a couple reasons: a. how does Oakley not have an option for users to cancel directly online - most companies that do e-commerce has a self-serve cancellation option, and b. how can it be that telesales cannot cancel my order directly?

I didn't want to spend more time then I've already invested, so I just left it at that. If the products come, great. If not, no worries. Ultimately I suspect they'll eventually cancel the order and issue a 25% code for my troubles. Oakley has the worst e-commerce capabilities I've ever seen.

Sorry to hear about your trouble Oak. I must admit their e-commerce and website are DEFINITELY frustrating. Can't imagine why such an innovative and limit pushing company would have worst than mediocre e-commerce and web. Seems against the brand's core values and mission.

Punish mediocrity.

It is actually even cheaper on Amazon. I may just need to get one to add to my "awesome-but-useless-keychains-from-Oakley" collection.
