dont know whether i should put this in my stoopid questions thread but i thought i would bring it up here given the recent mention of tribal mds.
Due to some personal issues i need to free up some cash. most of my collection is kinda so so. most of the good stuff went when the kids arrived :-)
I have a pair of bnib tribal mds which i was looking to get rid of and have no idea what the current fair market value is. i am not fishing for buyers as i will be putting them on ebay. just wondering if anyone could get me up to speed.
Well, if it was worth $10k back in the 90's - and they go for $100 on CL nowadays, I think we have the conclusive proof that this hobby does NOT make for a good investment. LOL
Might be some truth to that. Less how much it's worth, but more along the lines of what they'd expect if the legal team decided to step in and collect the value of the item that was sold.
I get the feeling reps just throw out large random figures to scare OPDS from selling it. Either that or OPDS just throw out large random numbers to bump up the price so they can sell it later on. Either or. I used to get figures like $1k or 2K for doublewides and $3k for triples. And then some weird figures for the smaller displays.
I can't link to it (the listing is still active) but some guy has a pair of the WBC Champ 06 Ichiro Juliets on ebay right now for an asking price of US$5,000.
