bad bad influences, all of you! as much as i spend, i always try to pay my CC bills in full. now you've got me thinking about paying for a watch i've not seen yet in monthly payments, BAD!

but yeah... $1300 is good news, considering the original cost of what i was told the Tread/Tank/whatever is going for.

I have a no interest CC until Nov 2006, so I'm riding on that until the interest kicks in, then I'm tossing it.

Wow, you all are even crazier than I am. I have to wait to see it before I'll decide whether or not I'll get it. It's kinda like the Detonator for me, I doubt I'll ever get one just cuz I don't like how it looks. Maybe someday if I catch up on everything else, I'll think about it. (I won't get booted for not wanting an O product immediately will I?)

Yes, we're locking you out now.

Tek, the Tank/Tread is amazing. I spent so long staring at it when I saw it that I completely missed King and a few other cool items.

I can remember the casing continuing the band pattern, and I swear it was a GMT-esque face. Multi-dial, whatever. It was so cool. If I have time maybe I'll try and draw it up.

Phil that would be very cool of you to do!

I believe in another thread it was mentioned that the watch is square though, correct?

Yeah, I vaguely remember a square face with sub-dials a la GMT.

It would be cool if Oakley made a square flip watch ala the JLC Reverso.

Now that I think of it, I sort of remember the face. It was made up of 4 or so cylinders in a row, as if 4 links from the band were fused together, and then the center was cut out to fit the dials and crystal. Which would make sense, since the face is square.

very cool Dann, thanks for the description.

come to think of it, i actually wouldn't mind the name "AARGH!" gives me a chance to scream at the top of my lungs everytime someone asks me about the watch... LOL.
that's if i can scrounge up enough money to buy it in the first place.
