Very nice!

Ollie - you should do that stuff for a living - how about a pic of what YOU think the face will look like based on the current info?

I got a little info. from customer service, here's what they had to say:

"Do have a bit more info on the Tank. It may change but it should be out in the Spring. It's a titanium watch with a sapphire crystal face somewhere in the $1200 range. There may also be a version with a leather band, I imagine that would be a little cheaper."

I sometimes seem to get lucky with CS. I actually was asking about something else and the rep. must of remembered me asking about the watch a little while back. So he answered my question and just offered the Tread/Tank info.

Just to make sure: the new name is Thread right ? or did the rep called it Tank ?

The rep actually said Tank. But I do remember someone on the Review saying that the name Tank is already used by a different watch company. But Tank is still what the rep was calling it nonetheless.

Cartier uses the Tank designation for a squarish series of their watches. Whether that would interfere with Oakley calling a watch 'Tank' I'm not sure.

I have heard that the offical name for the watch is....

Time Tank

Doesn't roll off the tongue as easily, but I guess rather than renaming it completely.

Meh, should've stuck with Tread. It's more of an attention grabber, IMO.

Time Tank? That sounds a little hokey to me. Tread would have been a much better name in my opinion.

I'm with Bong, Oak, and eddyc on that. Tread is way cooler. If it does end up being Time Tank, I'm sure most of us will just refer to it as the tank anyway.

Time Tank? That's the best they could come up with? Time Bomb 2.0 would've sounded better than Time Tank.

Thanks a lot for the info Mando.

Yeah Blade 2 sounds good, but on the Saddleback, I did not like a heavy face on a leather band, felt weird.

Cant wait to see those new watches.
