Congratulation Rick, I know you had put a lot of toughts into this new car.

Funny but sad too about Todd, would have been nice if you too had the chance to meet.

On a 7 day trip, I can't imagine tracking/stalking down the PT Cruiser didn't strike you as a worthy distraction! An alarmed 911 'someone is following me' call would have only made the story better.

Well, had the PT Cruiser we saw been driven by Tick, I'm sure that would have looked a little something like this:

And, had we got together for some conversation and lunch, I'm sure it would have looked a little something like this:

Had we pulled some posing wanker poses, I'm sure they would have looked a little like this:

(Tick, where are you man, we were going to choke everyone's chain on this?!?)

How cool is that...
If Cecil B. DeMille himself had choreographed this himself it wouldn’t be better.
I love this and doth my cap whole heartedly to you both

Brilliant ruse!

LOL! Well played, boys.

The funny thing is that's exactly how I'd picture Tick driving down a freeway...no hands on the wheel, not even looking out the window, giving two thumbs up and smiling ear-to-ear. ;-D

Yeah, he's the kind of guy that makes you want to be a nicer person. It was great meeting him even if it was just for an hour. It was a well choreographed meetup let me tell you. I called him when I hit Fergus Falls and we met at a restaurant in Fargo about 30 minutes later. We then headed over to a sports store that was massive. Tick used to work there. Good seein' ya Tick (if you ever read this thread!)

Thats Bloody Brilliant on 2 accounts....

1. You both had the chance to catch up.
2. you punked us all and punked us well

I gather you were on the I94 around the Twin Cities (before heading up to ND) if you came up from Chicago, staright through my ole stomping grounds when i was living there.

Yeah, we drove from Chicago to Minneapolis and spent a day there. Nice place, kind of boring though. The I94 through Wisconsin was a very nice drive. Rush-hour heading into Chicago was not fun, especially when we got off the Interstate and found ourselves right in the South Chicago projects! It was a great 2000 miles though. Meeting Tick for lunch was a real bonus.

had i known yo were going that way I could have arranged a free bed and drinking partner.... my brother. He could have shown you a good night out and some good ole Aussie Hospitality... next time.

Rick, What you have is a sweet ass car, an awesome TT, a great sense of humor & the patience of a 2 year old with ADHD! Way to stretch the joke out for 1 day...damn! I have to work you know! J/K I blame my all night partying lifestyle & my wife for not logging on sooner but it was a fun thread to read. Yes Oak, that is how I drive all the time. It was a total blast to meet the multinational legend that is Rick & his cool friend. thanks dude

one more hilarious thing, when we were taking those shots a mini van pulled up beside us & looked at us a little weird (the occupants, not the van itself. This isn't Pixar) so Josh points the camera at them like he was going to take a pic & then when they got out Josh says to us "OK, now if I could get a shot of the 2 grooms in front of the car..." Damn, too bad you couldn't of stayed in Fargo instead of dreary old TC

That was funny, wasn't it? Those people didn't know whether to laugh or run! Sorry about not dragging the joke out further, but Oogie was in danger of seriously insulting the PT Cruiser and I couldn't let that happen.

Great gag guys! I just got around to reading the thread. It had me in stitches! Great stuff.....keep it up! Rick, congrats on the badass Caddy--even Batman would be jealous! Tick, looks like you've done everything you can to make the PT look cool. Great effort. LOL. Man, I can't stop thinking about those chrome dogs! Those images are gonna haunt me until I finally get a pair!

The Chrome Dogs were on my head at the Minneapolis "Mall of America" O-Store but the dude didn't bite. Probably thought they were fakes.

Haha! We started off faking the laughing, but it quickly spiralled out of control. If any of you are ever out his way, you need to meet up with that dude. Hilarious.
