Got the 1st gen with rounded orbitals for free. Talking about the style, they are definitely the best (sun)glasses ever made.

On an other hand, the opaque part is a little bit disturbing for the field of vision. This is not bad enough to make me put down the rating !!!

The hunt is over, at least until I want to get the 0.3p. I was able to get one of these for $50 somehow, but would have gone higher. The design is far out there, but has made it onto many people's wishlists. I'd love to wear these, but they're just too valuable.

Weight - 20 gm. These are some of the wildest sunglasses Oakley made in the 90s. Super light and fantastic coverage from the sun. Very fragile. Must be careful not to overstretch them on wide heads. On a different subzero pair, the arms separated from the lens itself, but they can be readily glued back. Be careful handling the fragile iridium lenses though. They scratch very easily. I use them for cycling. They're perfect because of the light weight and shielding they provide (especially if you wear contact lenses or are sensitive to wind drying your eyes). Nose pieces are easily lost, so try to pick up spares from eBay. After a few years, the earsocks deteriorate and they are hard to find now.

All I can say is WOW these are freekin sweet. I paid a pretty penny for these but they look very intense and were so out there for their time. These are the holy grail of Oakley sunglasses. They look great displayed and my wife doesn't understand my plight quite yet.

I have the Mars and others but these do stand out! I will never part with them!

All comments above are true..!!
Started collecting Oakleys in Nov. 2010 in exchange with my 12+ years of drugs.. Been sober since.. ^_^ Of all the rare Oakleys I have collected, the Zero 0.3 is my all time favorite for it's weird innovative design and from being a 19 yr old (a true piece of Oakley history).. I was lucky to get two Zero 0.3 that are both Brand new in original boxes with all papers and soft bag from 90's.. Price tag on one was still there.. It was a ridiculous price though.. But, it was worth every penny (for me).. They really stand out in my display..

If ever you get a chance to own one, DO NOT HESITATE FOR A MOMENT.. GET IT..!! or I will..

The BEST (by far) Oaks ever made...a true classic...the true Oakley style comes from the creativity of Einstein and Rodman smoking crack together...I LOVE THEM and even wear mine to the day...if you don't have the Oakley Zero 0.3, then you are not an 'Ol Skool Oakster. I just need to get my filthy paws on the 0.3P now and I can die a happy man. P.S. They will be buried with me...it's in my will.

Simply one of Oakleys greatest departures from the routine of the norm. Though they have blind spots which renders them fairly unusable, they make for very intriguing display pieces. Though I am aware that they are a one piece lense, I only wish they had +red iridium implants for this style.

Gloriously comfortable, and they really do fit my face very well indeed, as well as any other Oakley glasses, but the etched areas interfere with my vision. My eyesight ain't what it was so I can't use them now for cycling even if I wanted to. I shall look to sell them I think. They need more love.

OK finally got em! I can say that they are every thing I hoped for, but BIGGER! These things are HUGE. I guess I really never noticed how big they are before, but the coverage is fantastic. The only downside to the size is that they don't fit in any of my cases very well, including my X-metal vault. I found that my fiance's white case that came with her scripts and Dartboard L's fits them pretty well.

The opaque outside works like blinders, they block light, but you cannot see through them effectively. They do add that bad ass originality that only Oakley can do, but don't expect to see through them at all.

The way they fit feels so peculiar. They are not much lighter than some of the other frames I own, but they have a way of just floating on your face. Hard to describe really. Over all I am very pleased with these. Not only are they original, they are very wearable and comfortable.

Finally tracked a pair down, thanks to some O-review help! They are what Oakley means to me - challenging design, fabulous quality - the ability to think outside the box, and create something so different, yet so beautiful - a work of modern-day art! If you are able to buy these, I would do so without hesitation - it is at the core of Oakley's history and image!

These are very rare, and even back in the day they were a special order item in the UK.
The same as a 0.1 only with a opaque "shield" underneath the lens to guard against averted light entering the sides.
very comfortable/lightweight you can easily forget you are wearing them.
Superb sports sunglass back in the day.

A timeless Oakley piece. Ahead of it's time then, now, and the future. I have had mine since day one, and have only worn them maybe a dozen times. I meet Jim Jannard for the first time wearing these in 2001. He was very impressed by the condition they were in. This is one item I will never give up.

When I first saw these back in '93 I loved them immediately but was younger, poorer & a little set back by the price so I didn't get them. Then I saw the cover of Double Impact at the video store & the hunt was on! I finally got them on ebay (at a good price) & I love them more now & never wear them

FINALLY, ive been wanting a pair of these for a while and they finally arrived today. this has to be one of the most WANTED pair on peoples lists. i could never wear them out in public but i had to have them,
they are oversized zeros with 2 holes on each side below the lens. very light and quite comfortable for a vintage pair.

Often times what makes a great pair of Oakleys is the unique design and style. Something different that is brought to the world of eyewear. Even today, the 0.3 would stand out as a great achievement. For this style to come out in the early 90's is just amazing. Sadly, I can only say I "had" a pair of these back in the day. In all of my returns and exchanges of Oakley products, the 0.3 stands as the only regretable transaction I've done. I wish like all heck that I could have that pair back. *drool* Cut two little symmetric hole in each lens ... brilliant!

I have several pairs of oakley's and killer loops. Should I have these insured or something? What are my 1st Gen .03's worth in the hard case? Thanks guys. 11-3-11
