I feel the need to keep on the good fight so there's at least one place where the info is at least cross referenced and verified. - Dann

And we, the huddled, uninformed masses, are forever grateful.
As SkullJacket suggests, barring any official concise documentation from the MotherOship, this Site is as good as it gets.

flyer I keep hoping there's a hidden tome buried at HQ that contains all of the detailed information about the company that's been lost to time, but try as I might, I'm finding that only through hard research am I able to piece together everything. Between annual reports, and old catalogs, and the internet archive, the clues are there, we just have to find them.

At least the first guy is admitting they are fake. I hate when they try to pass of the fakes as the real thing. Pisses me off. I have been lucky so far, but I also do my homework. Most people do not.

There are Fake Madman and Badman already out on ebay. Buyers beware.

How do you know it's fake? Seller could have sold the original box at the side.

Look at how flat the nose bridge is. It's almost a straight line. No curve at all. Also, the fake madman and badman have been surfacing with this case.

I could be the angle the picture is taken, making it look more straight.
Too bad there are fakes of these already.

I've often heard that the ® registered trademark is a dead giveaway that the item is fake. There's a guy on ebay selling some eye jacket frames, and he swears they are real. When I ask questions, he seems very vague, and just keep saying authentic or free.

Didnt we have a discussion about the R and it was noted some of the early models had this on the front? Or am I just dreaming this up?

Yes, in fact there are some models that had both a logo with no registered trademark and with it. Examples include the Eyeshade and M Frame.

Always exceptions, but its an early sign to take a closer look.

Most commonly, the fakes of the day (thinking heavily of eye jackets) would have a hard time duplicating the registered trademark R, and it would often end up being larger or mis-shaped.
