Price point is the real issue. More expensive stuff comes out around the holidays because people (in the states at least) are in more of a buying mood and more likely to drop the bigger $'s.

But I can see where that would bee a bummer if you only wear shades in the summer. LOL

Sweet, do you need the connecting link set if you're goin from a metal to leather or unobtanium or is that just a few extra links for the metal band?

Yeah, this opens up some more price effective possibilities. No need to buy two TTs when you can buy one then just get an additional band. Good stuff!
