When Oakley says "Lifetime Lens Replacement" is that lifetime of the buyer, or "expected lifetime of the eyewear?"

I want that rep case, the one that's got three compartments housing the C Six and the Pit Boss boxes for demonstration.

With the sunglasses inside of course.

I could take or leave the sunglasses, but the rep case...well, that's just a must and the true treasure, for me anyway.

Heck yeah. That rep case is pretty cool. I just like cases though. I wish there were more pics of it. I wonder is that a Pelican case?

Dan, it does look like a Pelican case:

probably the best case they could have used, pelican cases are crazy expensive but work really well. i wonder if that elite logo is etched in or just a sticker

Most likely printed like the SI Boot Pelican case.

Awesome, nice find on the pic, thanks Oak. Where'd that one come from?

I actually have a Pelican case that I use for my video camera or should I say for my Handycam. I love it. Plucked out some foam put the camera in there and no worries. I love Pelican cases.

I just noticed on the Aussie site that the C6 has just come down from $5,999 AUD to $4,999 AUD.
Yippe! The dream is getting a tad closer to reality.

Where does it say there is a lifetime lens replacement on the C-six? I'm not seeing anything on Oakleys website or even on google stating anything about the lens warranty.

I don't think they actively announced it as part of their marketing effort. It was printed on internal Oakley documents, and O Store members may have told you about it as you were considering buying one, but I don't remember ever seeing something in print publicly. I e-mailed customer service a long while back, and they sent an e-mail back confirming lifetime lens replacement for the CF C6.

Worst case you can try to get them by SKU: 95-379.

Just backing up some files and found these pics. Something for the trivia lovers.

There was a story on Oakley.com back in 2009 about the first buyer (by retail) of the Carbon C Six, pictured here:

I don't know if I can find the other pics from the article, but both Colin Baden and Peter Yee were there to present it to him:

Zooming closer, you see there he bought Carbon C Six #9:

Man this thread brings back memories and underlines perspective, back when these were released all we could talk about was the price. Now owning 2 Carbon pairs and 6 Aluminum pairs all these years later.

I had seen this article years ago but I never paid attention to the fact this was the 1st one ever sold and it's #9 and I have #10 so I guess I have the 2nd one ever sold which makes sense as it came from the owner of Australia's biggest Oakley dealer at the time and there was an article about it's delivery to him as well.
