Somehow someway they had my email address in the Reward program but nothing else. And because I couldn't reset my password with the temporary password they were sending me they had to enter my info from there. In turn I can't add any past purchases because my Reward account officially started today. - JP

Hmmm I'm in the same boat. I am registered and I don't recall signing up. I am more curious than anything. Guess I will have to check out this thread because I have no idea about this new program lol

I noticed in the Account settings on oakley.com, there's a Type O link at the bottom of the left-hand menu. It forwards to the type O website. Despite having the same e-mail, I'm using two different passwords, so I only believe the two accounts are loosely linked.

That matches my experience, Dann. They are two separate databases, which get matched up via your e-mail address. I did make sure to re-use my p/w when I signed up for Type-O though. Makes it easier on my brain. ;-)

Well I am now officially a Type-O member. Its so weird that I already have a bunch of Oakley O's in my stats ... O buys, O do's, O shares, O activity, O rewards ... O's within O's ... O's to right, O's to the left ...

I came for the ellipse and got it in spades

There's some bonus Do and Share points off the bat, but so far, the BUY ones are the only ones you can add to at the moment.

I haven't tried registering anything yet, supposedly that earns you an additional "40 Buy" points...

Has anyone else tried yet?

I was going to, but most of my stuff is vintage. Do I need the receipt for proof, or a UPC.

LOL... I believe it's for registering new (not yet vintage) eyewear for warranty records. And I think the current warrant-able period is 2 years from date of purchase at this time.

1 year not registered, 2 years if registered. Product has to have been purchased in the last year to register it. For 1 year (and to register) you must have proof of purchase from an authorized dealer. Once registered for the 2 year you no longer need the receipt.

Just completed a registration... (You have to have EVERY field completed before it will register; pay attention to the drop downs, I missed a couple because of the web browser auto-fill)

It was nice to see it identified my Home Bunker, where I made the purchase, just by typing in the 3 digits of the store. And it also identified the eyewear I was registering once I input the Product SKU.

...now to see if my Type-O Account picks up on the registration.

Congrats on completing your Oakley Product Registration!

Thank you for submitting your Oakley product registration! We may contact you shortly if we need any additional information.

I'll give it a try with the things I've purchased in the past few years. I know I picked up some things at HQ. Will the vault ones work as well.

I would think Vault purchases would be included, as long as they weren't DE.

Vault purchases will work, but you need to upload the original receipt for all purchases.

It seems that it allows you to register purchases from authorized dealers such as Colette and Staple, but there are no SKUs associated with those glasses. :(

The madman RAW SKU is also rejected by the system.

hopefully they will get some of these quirks ironed-out.

I called to register the Madman Raw. They told me use OO6019-07 as a work-around.

They finally got my point total correct so now I can start added in some newer purchases. I know I should have unlocked something by now as I have more points that others who have but I still dont see anything...

I was told by Customer Care that even though it is not the same value, it doesn't matter as long as you registered a Madman, because if you have a warranty claim, you will have the original receipt. The points you earn for registering are the same anyways. I guess theoretically you could do this with the collectors Frogskins as well, just use a standard Frogskin SKU as a placeholder.

When in doubt, send an e-mail. They've been fairly responsive so far, but I bet the floodgates have been opened.

Same situation over here... haven't seen any unlocks since Level 3/4... have an email into support and they are looking into it for me.

It's 1pt per $1 no matter if its an O-Store or Vault they changed it. Anything from a vault can be registered for the extended warranty as long as its not DE,MPH, or discontinued.

If you go back and look, you'll see adjustments for old Vault purchases from when the we're worth half a point. Nice.
