It was limited for X-men 3, and now it's not available. Simple as that.

As defender said, they're discontinued as a model too. Only three X-metal's are left:

You can find some at your local sgh or other shops.

Let's hope it's a sign they are getting ready for the new ones....

Penny had a pretty long run. There are some new xmetals on the horizon, so look out for those.

we just got 3 Ruby penny's in at work. we've gotten 3 shipments of 3 Ruby Juliets, but this is the first time we've gotten the penny. not very popular.

I was at my local vault to today and they had the Penny in their discounted case. Not sure what the price was but they were definately cheaper than retail.

its been discontinued since, i think, july. but HQ has to burn off a good amount before taking them out of the o-stores and sending them to the vaults to be put on discount. get them while you still can. but the rubies will stay in the stores. we actually got our ruby pennies after we sent out the polished/black and ti/ice.

Anyone think $325 is a fair price for x-metal/ruby penny at the local o-store? Last one...still in the display case.

Give the lenses a good inspection for any handling defects (since they were in a store display for a long time) and purchase them. X-metal prices tend to increase once they are discontinued.

yea i got my pennys for the same, they were there forever and it was their only pair,

hard to pass figuring its 100 off if you can find them for retail

$325 for a mint Ruby Penny would be a good deal. Hell, getting anything tied in with X-men is a good purchase. Definitely pick it up if you haven't already.
