Frame: Ducati, Night Camo, Amber
Lens: Black Iridium, Grey, Bronze Polarized
Tried these on. I was very wary given they have no unobtanium. I was very much surprised; the first thing I noticed was how robust they felt. They also fit well, which is a rarity given my fat nose bridge. Excellent coverage and aesthetics. The Camo frames at $150 CAN are a relative steal - the Dogs are an 'entry-level' pair that is right up with the best of them.

I would like to see more Iridium options. All in all, my picks are the Night Camos; the Bronze / Ti; and the Dukes. Definitely on my wishlist.

Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Grey Polarized

Great looking frames, very imposing. They also fit very well, but I have a wide head. That said, I never had a pair of sunglasses that fit this well before.

I picked this colour mainly because I don't like to wear something that stands out too much, like shiny or bright colours. I tried on the Ducati version, nice, but very dark and very shiny, they basically made my (quite pale) face light up like a christmas tree. I much prefer these as they are definitely present but also a bit more subtle. They make you look quite imposing, but in a "covert action" sort of way because of the matte effect.

People with smaller heads/faces, may want to pick another model, as these easily cover your brows and are quite wide. As a guide, my head has a circumfence of 57cm, measured around just above the ears, over the base of back of skull and across my brows.

There is practically no light leaking in from the edges, something I find important when driving. The lenses are great, read my in depth review of those in the lenses section under "Grey Polarized".

If you need a hard case for carrying these around, it can be a problem because of their size, I lucked out and found a black suede "Gucci" (yes yes I know;-) case that seems sturdy and house the Monster Dogs quite snugly when they are in the micro bag.

Frame: Cinder Red / Crystal Black / Matte Black
Lens: Black Iridium / Black Iridium / Ruby Iridium

Great looking frames, aggressive lines, stands out as an Iconic frame from Oakley. Light weight perfect fit for large to medium heads.

Great coverage and the fit of the frames are perfect even without the unobtainium.

Nightbird95 -
Frame: Crystal Black
Lens: Black Iridium

My first pair of Oakleys is a Monster Dog and it was given to me by a friend when I visited Bangkok in 12 December 2012. Back then I did not know how highly regarded Oakley sunglasses were so I did not take extra care of my Monster Dog and wore it practically wherever I go or whatever I am doing - be it driving, or running, our trail walking, or mountain biking, or travelling, or island hopping, or kayaking, or going to the office. To say that my Monster Dog was subjected to abuse is an understatement.

One thing I noticed, however, was that no matter how many times my Monster Dog was dropped, or accidentally thrown, or hit by branches, or fell in sea water, it remained intact and robust and it still fits snugly into my face all these years. Despite the few scratches it had on its lens, I still opted to use it because of its perfect fit and perfect view - my field of observation is wide enough that I can covertly watch someone or something without turning my head.

Lately (early 2015), I met new friends who introduced me to other Oakley sunglasses and who taught me options in replacing the lenses of my Monster Dog so I decided to get a pair of 24K Gold Polarized and retire the weary battle scarred Black Iridium of my Monster Dog. I also acquired a few other Oakley Sunglasses but my Monster Dog remains as the dearest to me.

Frame: Polished Black, Navy
Lens: Titanium Clear, Grey

These have a nice snug fit on me, and they seem pretty light compared to my usual juliets. They have a great look to them, might look a little goofy on me, but I still like them.

Polished Black/Ti Clear is a Japanese Exclusive, and while I'm really happy I was able to track them down, I really wish the Ti Clear lens was a little clearer. They actually have a half decent titanium mirror on them and especially indoors, even though any blocking of light is pretty much unnoticeable on your side of the lenses, anyone looking at you would definitely label them as sunglasses rather than clear lenses, which is what I hoped they were. Still really cool looking though.

The Navy frame from the navy / pink / blue fluoro camo pack is really cool, its a dark translucent blue, and the pink camo icon looks great. Grey lens actually isn't quite as boring as I thought, it seems to increase contrast a bit rather than being completely neutral...
LIEUTENANT -
Frame: Dark Amber
Lens: Bronze polarized

I always considered the monster dog to be the older brother of the splice, but they're so much more than that.Their shape is so aggressive and dominant, that looks almost like a fist, being smooth and elegant at the same time. It's muscular, sharp because of the hammerfang pattern which was first relased in 2003,but also smooth because of the shape of the lenses, definitely courtesy of the splice, which is so dynamic. It's got to be the best lens shape ever, and although I do like the teardropped lenses, this one is a very hard competitor. But the good stuff, just doesn't end there. The monster dog has huge coverage.Forget everything you knew, from the smaller framed glasses such as the minute, you've got all the coverage you can need here. And the fit is as if it was made for me.Although there is no unobtainium at all, these things grip on your head and just become one, without any squeeze whatsoever. It's no coincidence that the monster dogs are around for over than 9 years, and I would really like to see some new colorways.Full five stars without a question at all!

Frame: Fluoro Camo Olive
Lens: Grey

I always thought MD's were too big for me, but after trying them on a few more times, I reconsidered. They are still much bigger than what I'm accustomed to wearing, but I like the thorough coverage. The aggressive but not-too-over-the-top styling speaks for itself. Surprisingly lightweight for the size of the frame.

Since Fluoro Camo Packs started showing up on eBay, I figured I should try my luck. I ended up getting one for much less than many Monster Dogs sell for alone. Plus, the limited edition nature of the Camo Packs makes these MD's a bit more special.

The translucent Olive frame is a great shade of drab green. Takes me back to the days when grunge was all the rage. The camo icons are a neat touch to tie in the pattern used for the other Camo Pack items.

It's too bad these were only offered with Grey lenses. Grey is a fine tint and goes well with the frame, but I think Persimmon would have looked great with the orange camo accents.
idealoakley -
Frame: NIGHT CAMO
Lens: Ruby LENS
I swapped out the original grey lens and added the RUBY. These are now my RUBY CAMO DOGS. I can't say anything about the frame construction that you have not already heard. These glasses are perfect for any activity. Only complaint is that they will slide off of my nose when I sweat. AWSOME COMBO
cacatman -
Weight 33 gm. I'm an Asian (ie. flat faced) and have a big head (59 cm circumference). These Oakleys angle back further at the ears, so that they are less likely to slip off, even if they don't have rubber earsocks. They have great sun coverage with the lenses and "monster dog" is an name for these sunglasses because they really are quite aggressive and make a statement. If you can score the black or brown fade versions, you can easily remove the colour to make yourself a wicked pair of clear Monster Dogs. Forget about using a toothbrush and detergent. Use non acetone based nail polish and you can remove all the paint without destroying the frames. Makes sure you remove the lenses first!!! I only give them 3 stars because they don't sit as securely as most Oakleys and they also aren't as comfortable to wear, but they really are a classic shape.
The Game -
Frame: Polished Black (Ducati)
Lens: Black Iridium
At first glance I was not a fan of these. I felt as if they were way too big for me and the lack of Unobtainium was a drawback. I got a pair for real cheap and was like if I don't like them I'll give them away. I'm glad I kept them. They fit great especially when I have to wear them for long periods of time. I also found that they didn't need the Unobtainium when I played basketball in them and the stayed on like a champ. Im sure I'll pick up another pair before they get discontinued.

Frame: Tribal, Cinder, Night Camo, Snow Camo, Tortiose, Pearl, Metallic Black, Polished Black, Olive, Bronze, Brown Fade, Crystal Black, Whiskey

Out of all of these, the Tribal is my favorite. Not extreme, but definitely gets noticed and demands respect.
BiGCoB -
Frame: Brown Tortoise
Lens: Bronze

This is where the addiction began. I have them for about 6 years now and they are still like new, except the Oakley logo on the nose bridge who disappeared and a scratch on the left lens that I did a month after I got them (ARGH !). Considering that they were my only glasses during a year, I've abused them a lot and they have gone in swimming pools, at the beach, on the bike and have globally been worn on a daily basis.

These are big glasses with a huge coverage. The O-Matter keeps that big frame in a good weight range.

The brown tortoise color is classic and gives a nice light transmission through the matter.
The gold Icons stand out from the frame.

The bronze lens is perfectly matching the frame and is perfect for medium light conditions. Maybe the Gold Iridium lens would have been a better choice to match the gold icons.

The only negative point would be the lack of unobtainium piece that can be felt when doing sport with them. But this is not really what they are done for, do they ?
Orange61 -
Frame: Polished Black
Lens: VR50 to Brown Transition

This frame just looks goofy indoors. I would feel very awkward walking around indoors when they are VR50. They also do not change very well inside the car. They lack ear socks and nose pieces make them hard to use for sports. But they still are very durable and good glasses.
Scot -
Frame: Crystal Black
Lens: Black Iridium
Picked these up Summer of 2006. Great glasses, but do not work well for cycling with a helmet, or at least the few I own. I wear these mainly on the water in the kayak with the oakley water/oil resistant treatment. Great for the glare of the water, without being polarized. The crystal frame still lets a little bit of light through, but not enough to make a noticable difference. Great coverage on the face, and unique looks.
joeybravo13 -
Frame: cinder red
Lens: black iridium
the monster dogs are a super comfortable frame. the curves, line and size of the frame makes the person wearing them look evil. this is a frame that i picture on a bodyguard or bouncer.
the cinder red is quickly becoming my favorite frame color. inside it looks like a simple dark frame, but when the sunlight hits it, they just sparkle. Like bass boat sparkle.
I know many folks may still be uncomfortable wearing a bigger style, but when you get over it pick up some 'dogs!
lionel -
Frame: Metallic Black
Lens: Ruby

These are one the most comfortable o-matter frames that I own. At first glance the monster dog looks like a pair of motorcycle goggles but I love the big frame and aggressive styling. I have a large head (hat size 7.5) and these fit very nice. The metallic frame looks great in the sunlight with a nice "bling" effect. The lens is technically fire however looks more ruby than fire. A great color combo and the chrome icons real set off the entire frame.
Je_Suis_Oakley -
Frame: Crystal Black
Lens: Black Iridium
If you want a style that fits close to the eye is snug, and gives your eye plenty of coverage then you have found the right one. These sunglasses are great and the color combination is sick.
LEX7 -
Frame:Silver
Lens:Emerald

Loving this combo, the frame colour is just awesome and great that its a non stock combo, the green of the emerald is suited to the silver. green icons would have made it perfect.
LEX7 -
Frame:Cinder Red
Lens:Gold Iridium

such a great frame colour, reminds me alot of redline from the eye jackets but it is darker. i put gold iridium in these instead of the black and the sparkle of the frame when in the sun teamed with the gold iriidium lens just looks amazing!
Nemesis -
Frame: Matt Black
Lens: +Red

Again, Oakley has created an icon for themselves. Popular yes, because they can look good on so many people. Looks great on my oversize head. I was hesitant to buy a pair of plastic frames after obsessing over the X-metals, but I'm so glad I did. The quality is very high. Thanks to the other Members of the Review who posted pics of their custom MD's with +Red lenses... once I saw them, I had to have them! The combination looks killer!
adamjmoore -
Frame: 10w40
Lens: Bronze

I've worn these once or twice but I found that in sunny conditions they made everything way too bright and yellow! The sun shines through the frame and the bronze lenses aren't dark enough for me. 10w40 is a nice colour to look at though!
karMeister -
Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Black Irid
I have the first gen Monster Dog (With oakley logo on bridge). Its one of the styles that complimets the wearer alot more than the glases! hahah! you know what I mean =P Thats why I love these! the downside is the side sight coverag you really have to move your head to take a look at stuff beside you. Not very good when you drive a motorcycle or something like that. The material is very good exept for the bronse oakley logos that come off over time.... they turn silver so its okay =P
idealoakley -
Frame: Crystal Black
Lens: Fire iridium
These are OCE. They have Crystal black frame with fire iridium lens and red anodized icon. They look killer. Extremely light and have great eye coverage. I have a medium size head and they fit well. I would not try monster dogs if you have a narrow head or small head. I was hesitant about them because I have always had glasses with unob. earsocks. You do not need them with Monster dogs, they seem to grab hold of your head and not let go.
takashi11 -
Frame: Fluoro Camo Navy/Pink
Lens: Grey

Easily my favourite O matter pair that I can wear everyday, and feel comfortable wearing. The coverage is excellent, it is my cheapest, and one of the most satisfied oakley eyewear purchase I've made. The pink kind of makes it weird for me...but with my long bangs...you can't even see the O icon so it's all good.
TSIcon8 -
Frame: Cinder Red
Lens: Black Iridium

Where to start on these boys.....the color is amazing. Cinder Red is probably the coolest color available in an O-Matter frame. The fit is stellar and very comfortable.
OAKLEYZ -
Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Titanium clear
OCE. I had these made for safety glasses..... sickest and most stylish sfety glasses you'll ever see... I have now 6 pairs of monster dogs (probably thee most comfortable o matter oakley makes) If I could give them 10 skulls I would......

Frame: matte black
Lens: black iridium RX
Earstems are pretty long and work well even if the model is too large for me.
Black iridium RX is excellent
matte black doesn't fear scratches
design is a classic of oakley
I would imagine this with unobtainium on inner earstems
mason65 -
Frame: Bronze
Lens: Ti
I like the design and the way these look on me, plus the Titanium lens is a pleasure to look through with great coverage. One gripe though; they arent terribly comfortable on the nose, so I do wish they had some unobtanium on the earpieces and the nosepiece.
DonnyGan -
Frame: Polished Black
Lens: Titanium Clear

Polished frames leave no worries for me. this pair of Japan exclusive is my second option other than the ruby clear unknown.

The Ti Clear lens makes it so good for overcast condition & i can enjoy wearing it for the whole day.

jumpman73 -
Frame: Tribal
Lens: Slate Iridium

This is one of the most awesome pairs of Oakleys I have. The Tribal frame is so so def. It just looks so cool and its very unique. It works really well with the slate iridium lenses. This is one of the coolest combinations and I really hope Oakley decides to do more of these combinations with other frames.

Frame: polished black

my first monsterdogs, expected more from the transitions technology, but it's ok, very pleseant to wear because of the brown color :)

>perfect fit, great for sports

Frame: white camo
Lens: grey

great sunglasses! excellent coverage n protection from the sun. white camo is quite unique compared to the other oakley colors. that's why i bought them. grey lens are nothing to shout about but they do the job for me. these are my sports pair and has survived countless drops, knocks etc. the icons are pretty worn now after 2 years of use and the whites don't seem so white anymore. only 1 problem: the lens fog up too easily during sports.
TSIcon8 -
Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Grey
Awesome glasses with an amazing fit and a look that yells Oakley! Great color combos and the BTO line doesn't hurt at all.
Rick -
Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Black Gradient
I've been seeing a few of these for sale in Japan. Kind of cool to see a gradient lens in a Monster Dog. I don't know if I would consider the Monster Dog to be a fashion model, although with a dramatic gradient such as the Black/Clear, this MD takes on a bit of a pretty boy persona. I am guessing this was supposed to be a global release, yet the only place I've heard of it being available is Japan, so I guess we could say it is a Japan Exclusive until we hear otherwise.
Rick -
Frame: Fluoro Camo Navy / Pink / Blue/Grey
Lens: gray
I was not overly impressed with this combo. The Navy frame is pretty mundane and the only thing that really turned me onto this one was the price (great deal online) and the unique splatter-styled icons. In retrospect, I should have gone with something more interesting. That said, the Monster Dog is a favorite of mine and this pair, like all my MD's, does get walked quite a bit. These might become a workhorse for me on days when I have plenty of work to do in the yard or something. Definitely not a showcase model that requries pampering.
Rick -
Frame: Cinder Red
Lens: Ti Clear
One of several possible combinations of MD's made possible through Oakley's new O-Custom program (formerly known as: OCE). The Cinder Red frame looks quite dark, but with the addition of the Ti Clears, the red metallic finish of the Cinder comes through a little bit more than in the Oil Drum I also own. This pair was my 100th pair of Oakleys that turned out to be a joint project between myself and Dann "The Man" Thombs. We had "Century Club" etched in the lens for an extra charge of $15. I think it is a great combo and I highly recommend it becomes the offical O-Review Century Pair. It's just that cool.
Rick -
Frame: Matte Black
Lens: -Red Iridium
Custom combo I picked up online. The -Red lens is a much more practical option than the Ruby Clear and I have had no problems with ghosting or crazy reflections to date. It has the appearance of the +Red Iridium but obviously not as intense since it has a clear base. The allow others to see your eyes, but the sheen put across by the +Red Iridium coating gives it a neat effect. Much more interesting that a Ti Clear, but about as effective in the bright sun. The Mattle Black frame allows the lenses to be the star here by the fact they are subtle as compared to a flashy polished black. Worth picking up if you can find them.
jumpman73 -
Frame: Pearl
Lens: Ti Clear

I love these in the Pearl color option. The Ti Clear lens is like the icing on the cake. I got these done through the OCE program. Awesome combo.
DonnyGan -
Frame: White Camo
Lens: Grey Iridium

I've to give a 2 for the peeling paintwork, else it will be great. because it's camo, the peeling on the dark grey area is not visible but will flake along with time. & soon there will be alot more white than grey on the white camo.
frankie4fingers -
Frame: Pearl
Lens: G26
Bit more agressive look and much of an alien^^great to waer and fits very well, maybe for unobtainium like at the dartboard for a possible reload
Rick -
Frame: Polished Black
Lens: Ti Clear
My long seach is finally over. This pair of MD's rivals the Tribal as my all-time favorite. Released as a Japan Exclusive in 2004, this model is not easy to come by. The Ti Iridium lenses provide minimal comfort in bright light situations but that doesn't stop them from being cool. I wear these on overcast days and they look sharp. I would highly recommed this model if you want something that sets you apart, but still has the comfort and fit of the Monster Dog range.
Tick -
Frame: Polished Black
Lens: Titanium Iridium Clear
I love these. I love wearing them. The contrast between the big, thick frames & the clear lenses really makes them stand out. I also think it enhances the Iridium coating on the Ti Clear lenses. The lenses look much better than in my Big Square Wires with the same lens. I think if the movie "Major League" were made today these are the glasses Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn would wear!
Italianbarista -
Frame: White Fluoro & Matte Black
Lens: TiClear/Black Iridium & Black Iridium

These glasses are AMAZING! They fit my face perfectly and have great vision all around! Wish I could get my hands on a pair of 10W40! If anybody has a pair, let me know! :)

Frame: Cinder Red
Lens: Black Iridium

Very cool color. Stock picture does not really do it justice. It definitely pops a little bit more in the sun, but even then it's very subtle. I have a large head, and these fit perfectly.
banarno -
Frame: Charcoal
Lens: Black Iridium

Like many that have gone before,I thought these would always look too large on my face, but not so it seems.
Very comfortable, with minimal movement, even with no unobtainium I have found.
Lightweight, great fluid styling, and still looks modern next to the industrial square shapes of today.
JayKor -
Frame: Fluoro Pack Light Grey
Lens: Grey/ swapped out for black Polarized
I find them really comfortable, color combo is awesome. I find however they really have a close fit to my face, so i find I sweat alot wearing them. Lightweight. I'll stick to wearing them mostly in the snowy winters' Montreal offers
jumpman73 -
Frame: Whiskey
Lens: Bronze

Very nice design and good eye coverage. The whiskey frame option is very unique and looks really good. The bronze lens option is a very nice lens. Oakley did a very good job on combining these two together.
jumpman73 -
Frame: Crystal Black
Lens: Black Iridium

Awesome design and color option. Eye coverage is excellent and the fit is very comfortable. Frames are very light as well. This color looks sweet. The transperancy of the frame really offers a unique look.
OluvrNawlins -
Frame: Tribal
Lens: Slate Iridium
Tribal w/ Slate is the best color scheme in the Monster Dog lineup,IMHO. Other than the two camo schemes for M.D., these are the ones that I had to get; The Holy Grail of M.D.'s! The combination of the tribal graphics and the slate iridium lens is perfect. I may consider adding a titanium lens for a one off custom but I think it may have too much silver as opposed to the subdue hues of the slate lens. Their was some discussion regarding this version being released in the U.S. market, but whatever the case, get a pair for your collection, I highly recommend.

Dann -
Frame: White Camo
Lens: Grey

I really didn't like these when they came out. I thought they were a bit too big. Little did I know later on, there would be plenty bigger. Finally getting on over half off, I picked up the white camo, and they are very nice after all.
ThePalikero -
Frame: Crystal Black
Lens: Black Iridium

Like most of the reviews say, they provide great coverage and look cool, too. I don't usually like to buy glasses that touch my cheek bones, but this one I could tolerate. I wear a 7 & 3/8 baseball cap size, and these Monster Dogs fit just fine on me. My only complaint is that the ear stems are rather thick, and since my ears are quite streamlined close to the sides of my head and do not flare out like Will Smith or Howdy Doody, they tend to hurt the top and behind of my ears after long periods of wearing. Overall, though, I still give these shades four out of five stars.
RubyMars -
Frame: Fluoro Camo Navy / Pink / Blue
Lens: Dark Grey

I didn't like the Monster Dog for the longest time. I eventually got used to the big lense and hunted down my fluoro pack. I like the uniqueness of this colorway. Since I got them I wear them more than anything. The crystal navy frame can be slightly distracting, but eventually it doesn't bother you. Great coverage from every angle, no blind spots, lightweight, what's not to like?
jumpman73 -
Frame: Cinder Red

Awesome frame color. Has little specks of red that gives the frame a real cool look. Awesome eye coverage, just a really nice design.

Frame: Fluoro Camo Navy / Pink / Blue/Grey

The frame is translucent navy, which will let in a minimal amount of light. However, the gray lens and translucent frame don’t make theses the best for bright light.

Frame:Pearl White
lense: Gray

they fit awesome even on a bigger head like mine. They cover perfectly although the only weak point i found were the blind spots while driving. The pearl white frame creates an amazing contrast with the darker gray lense giving you a sortof ET look..i love them.

Frame: Polished Black/Tribal
Lens: Black Iridium Polarized/Slate irium
My favorite frame. Putting on this frame feel like home. I have a rather big head, not humongus by any means ;) and the Monster Dog just locks unto my skull. Great! My only trouble with the dogs is the lack a lenscolours, it seems Oakley is playing it safe in that respect, but the Monster Dog is a classic and some wicked new lense colours would be great! The variety of framecolours is already there.
Consumer101 -
Frame: any
Lens: any

Pros: Blocks the sun from all angles, fits like a glove, doesn't fog up, looks good (very popular model). Thick protruding frame will probably protect the lenses should you drop these.

Cons: Bottom of the frame is way too thick and visible when wearing them. If your downward field of vision is important then don't buy these.
mlgladde -
Frame: Dark Translucent Olive
Lens: Titanium Iridium

My favorite glasses yet. I bought the Titanium lens to customize them a little bit. Great combo.
Rick -
Frame: 10W40
Lens: Bronze
Found these in Japan and picked them up for two reasons. First reason: not a widely released combo. Second reason: love the name of the frame. The 10W40 frame looks exactly like that: pure gold motor oil. Somewhat similar to the Whiskey frame but darker in tones. The Bronze lens is sufficient, but not overwhelming.
Oak -
Frame: Matte Black
Lens: Ruby

Nice combo, but the Ruby's a far cry from what it used to be when it was first introduced on the Juliet. It's not quite red, but it's not quite fire either. It's in between but loses marks because of it. Still very cool glasses, though.

Wow, when I first saw these I really though they would not be what I wanted. I was interested in the unknown but then I tried these on and realized that these are like the big brother to the unknown. Really great style, well built, good coverage and not too much obstucted view from the edges of the rim.
LEX7 -
Frame:White/Green
Lens:Grey

i was a bit worried about a bright white MD but these are alot nicer than they would be cos of the awesome bright green camo icon, which really makes these alot more interesting.
just a shame it has to come with the standard grey lens, would be great with an emerald lens to match the icon.
LEX7 -
Frame:Olive/Orange

my second fave out of all the camo pack MDs
i love crystal frames and this is a great one, like a non frosted version of the rootbeer frame this looks great when the light hits it and ofcourse youve got the cool orange camo icon to complete the look.
just a shame it has to come with the standard grey lens, would look great with a gold lens.
LEX7 -
Frame:Blue/Pink

my fave out of all the camo pack dogs this awesome dark crystal blue frame is made even better with the bright pink camo icon.
just a shame it has to come with the standard grey lens.

Frame: Tribal
Lens: Slate Iridium
It's been a little while since a new release has created this much anticipation among the members here. I almost feel bad posting a review - ALMOST! How exclusive these Tribal Dogs are is hard to say since the guy at Tokyo HQ seems to think they are a Japanese Exclusive. We know that's not the case, but it still remains to be seen at this point if they will be launched globally. Be that as it may, these MD's are a true piece of design art. I just hope they don't start making a Tribal frame in every other model. The exclusivity of this frame adds to the allure and mystique of this particular Monster Dog. The slate iridium lenses are a nice departure from the norm. Useful in a wide variety of lighting conditions. This is bound to be a valuable collector's item and I highly recommend Lex gets them!
RangerK -
Frame: Tribal

I'm really liking these Tribal Monster Dogs. The slate iridium is perfect for November Sun. I'll probably buy a set of Titanium replacement lenses for brighter conditions. The tribal pattern is sharp not fuzzy like one member asked about. These are bad ass!

Frame: Fluoro Camo Charcoal
Lens: Grey

This frame color is very cool. It reminds me of primer, but with a glossy finish. From what I can tell, the O-Matter is not painted, but rather it is molded in this color. Like all MD's, the large frame offers good coverage while holding tight to your head. While the Grey lens is a bit boring, it is probably the best match for the Charcoal frame.
LEX7 -
Frame:Night Camo

i had been wanting the night camo frame ever since i bought my white camo dogs. i have just been putting it off so when a member sold me some Bronze polar lenses i knew it was time to get them.

I got these as part of a Flouro Pack and I love them. Very cool color frames, lenses are nice, would love to have Emerald Iridium or at atleast black iridium...but grey works for now.

Frame: crystal black
Lens: black iridium

very agressive, comfortable , face-hugging frame , i love the crystal black , and only black iridium serves it well. very good for every day use, and it is becoming very popular.

Frame:Tortoise
Lens: Gold Iridium
What a cool looking design. Big & chunky but with fluid lines. The frame really blocks outside light so the lenses look even clearer. The stretched ellipse Icon looks a little out of place. I think, given the large earstems, they could have put a larger, unstretched Icon on there & it would've looked better.

Frame: FlouroCamo White/Green
Lens: Grey

I'm a sucker for white frames, so this was a big score for me. I love the pure, polished white with the camo Icons. Now for some Black Iridium lenses.

Frame: Night Camo
Lens: Grey
Just got these from eBay and I love them. The night camo color is great and they really seal off my eyes. Now I need to get the camo boot to go with them. Just all around cool.

Frame: Brown Tortoise
Lens: Bronze

A guy I know owns this pair and let me try them on for a bit. I was never really interested in the either of the Monster frames but I found these surprisingly well designed. Obviously designed for larger skulls but they fit well and despite the bulk, aren't heavy at all. The tortiose frame is well finished and the Bronze lenses are a good all-around lens.

Frame:10w40

an absolute must have, even if this is your first pair of dogs you gotta get these.

a UK OPD special combo and very sought after already.
glad they are releasing some of the vintage frame colours on newer styles.

Frame: Whiskey
Lens: Bronze
It's hard not to get swept up in the hype of the MD's. Lots of interesting color combos and a nice fit. I look forward to picking up a few more pairs down the road. The camo models are particularly interesting.

Edit: Whiskey frame peels.

looks oversized but is actually not, at least to my asian face. very affordable. i use this almost everyday cause i'd cry if i ever misplace my x metals!

Frame: Night Camo
Lens: Gray

I know these are cheap but I had to have'em...they match my Thumps and SI night camo boots...still a very cool pair of shades and will probably be worn when I'm on more risky/industrial adventures....or with my SI's....or both....

Frame: Bronze

Gorgeous color, looks black sometimes. I love titanium lenses. Monster Dogs have a tendacy to fall off of my face though, so these were for my husband. They are his favorite pair that I have brought home yet.

agressive design makes u look badass when wearing it very nice, very nice

Frame: White Camo
Lens: Grey

Probably the best deal of any Oakley. I LOVE the way they look although I'd prefer a black iridium lense over the grey. If I am on the lake or rock climbing I usually wear these glasses. I get a lot of compliments on them... OVerall, big thumbs up. They'd be a 5 if I could get a camo finish with a different lense. The grey isn't bad just not as good as others.

Just too cool! I simply love these shades. Inexpensive, awesome aggresive look. can't say enough good things about these shades. Very recommended.

Frame: Brown Fade
Lens: Gold Irid

I've always liked the style, but none of the frame colors really grabbed me until now. Santa has brought me to the Monster Dog family and I love the new frame color! The brown fade is simply awesome, one of the reasons I was tempted towards the Doggle with the black fade. A great fit, full coverage and a sic look to match!

Way too big for me, I can't stand it. Not my style anyway

Frame: Monster Dog
Lens: Black Iridium

I wanted the Monster Dogs so i had a tougher pair of glasses, and these fit the bill. I choose the Ducati version as I prefer the Black Iridium lens as I like things in normal shades of color. And the Ducati's were the only ones with polished black Frame and Black iridium lens. Overall very happy and find them very comfortable. Only down side is a loss of side periferal vision, but you get used to it.

Frame: Stealth
Lens: Grey

Definitely one of my favorite frames. Bold and Aggressive styling, Great for larger heads or if you just want a large frame with a good fit.

Frame: Night Camo
Lens: Grey

These are a fantastic pair of sunnies, I see almost every Oakley fnatic wearing these and they're quite noticable with the big logos on the side. I wasn't really a fan of Frogskins which had no unobtanium, Fives looked a bit cheap for me even though i had looked at them at one point. Best O Matter frame for me and feels great too.

Frame: White Camo
Lens: Grey
I got this pair from Cal. I love the frame: the color and the fit is awesome. The only negative I have is the lenses. Grey is pretty basic/plain, definately not in keeping with the Overthetop thing. Black Iridium Polarized perhaps...

Frame: Stealth & White Camo
Lens: Grey
Monster Dogs look very Modern, they are comfortable and they are a wraparound so they cover your whole eye area so they are good for sport.
They come in some sweet colours to.
The snow camo are VERY cool but I think they are going to be produced in Limited numbers so I suggest you get a pair when you can.

Frame: bronze
Lens: titanium
So far i must say i am very pleased with my most recent acquisition. The monster dogs are a very large pair, they feel much bigger than they look in picture. The lens also appear much larger than most other pairs. For my face the lens coverage is excellent from side to side and at the top absolutely no light passes by the frame, although there is an opening at the bottom, (but most light is not likely to come from below.) The bronze is a subtle frame, and there is little contrast present with the dark silver logo, but the logo is massive and unmissable (for all of you who love to advertise the O) I find them to be great glasses, superior to my previous pair (topcoats)

Frame: Brown Tortoise
Lens: Brown

I like the Monster Dog frame, even for a large frame, it still fits really well. The only problem is the lack of Unobtainium nose bombs, I find after extended periods of wear that my nose hurts quite a lot. Otherwise an excellent glass.

Frame: Night Camo
Lens: Grey

I need to sing my praises for Oakley's camo frame colors here. I love the Monster Dog and found myself looking at all of Oakley's Camo frames most recently. The print is awesome and this pair was a more logical choice over White Camo. (Only because I can't bring myself to wear a white frame). Still a great frame and actually the first time I had ever worn the Grey (non iridium) lens. I am actually enjoying it more so then when I had tried Black Iridium.

Frame: bronze
Lens: titanium

Most definitely a more aggressive style. It's a rigid frame with sharp lines. It remains a very comfortable frame as well and is a fairly tight fit for how large they are. Don't look at them and think they are too big, they are a better fit than the Straight Jacket and very similar to Dragon Ghost if you've worn them. The Bronze frame is actually a dark bronze (slightly metallic brown) where the photos makes it look more like brass. Great lens, bronze base with the titanium iridium coating so it looks more black than gold.
idealoakley -
Frame: Polished Black
Lens: DEEP BLUE POLARIZED
These are sweet. They have the DEEP BLUE POLARIZED lens that has a blue iridium coating that has blue/purple colors. Kinda like ichiro blue. Good secure fit. Not suited if you have a small head but medium and large heads will be perfect. Added bonus is the fact that these are polarized.

Absolutely love this color combo! The frame is absolutely sick looking when the sun hits it, and the bronze lenses go so well with them.

Frame: Matte Black

These are certainly eye catching shade glasses!
